This weekend saw the 2nd Round of the MSA British Rallycross Championship.
The second round of the 2018 championship was held at Lydden Hill with both Kevin Procter and Oliver Bennett both taking to the grid in their mountune-powered Ford Fiesta SuperCars.
Procter made a great start to the weekend with a win in Q1 Race 1 after lining up on the grid in 5th place, although after starting Q2 on Pole, luck wasn't on his side with a DNF, plus DNS in Q3, unfortunately missing out on a spot in the Semi-Final.
Bennett had a better round with more consistent results. Starting at second on the grid, he took a DNF in Q1, but came back to finish 5th in Q2 and Q3. Starting the Semi-Final in 4th, Bennett gave a superb drive resulting in a top step finish, followed by the final race of the day, which saw him begin in 2nd and, again finish a respectable 5th.
We look forward to Round 3 at Croft, May 6th.
