BTCC ROUND 6 - Snetterton
After the summer break, Snetterton played host to this weekends sixth meet of the 2018 British Touring Car Championship.
The mountune-powered Motorbase Performance Teams were out on track in their colourful livery, the Gallagher boys in their usual Shredded Wheat yellow, and now Tordoff sporting brand new Pink livery on his GardX Racing RS, compliments of the BTCC Diamond Jubilee.
A wet Race 1 saw dramatic action amongst the murk with a tangle early on but the mountune-powered drivers brought all three Focus RS' home with Tordoff taking P5, Chilton, P13 and Cole, P17.
Race 2 saw more incidents and a safety car deployed on Lap 10 but again, the Motorbase Teams managed to avoid the dramatics, crossing the line in the same order, this time in P6, P11 and P18.
The Double Diamond Race was the final one of the day on a slippery track and saw the entire grid hungry for the double points that were on offer for the 20 lap, 60 mile race.
The race proved a fight for the mountune-powered drivers but Chilton did great to battle through and take P5 at the line. Unfortunately, Cole finished the race early on Lap 5 due to contact followed by Tordoff who retired on Lap 13.
We look forward to seeing the team back out at Rockingham in 2 weeks, the final time the BTCC will visit the Leicestershire circuit.
British RallyX Round 6 - Croft
This weekend at Croft saw a very successful round for mountune-powered Kevin Procter as he took on the sixth round of this years' championship.
All three qualifying rounds proved the pace of the car, as well as the driver skill as he took P1, P3, P1 getting him on Pole for the final race of the day.
Procter did well to battle for his position but eventually crossed the line in a very respectable P2. Even missing out on rounds 3 and 4, Procter now sits 6th in the points table with three rounds remaining in this years MSA British RallyX Championship.
