May was a busy month for motorsport with the mountune Racing Track Team supporting drivers in various championships across the globe.

BTCC Round 3 | 4 - Thruxton | Oulton Park

Continuing his already successful season, this month saw Adrian Flux Subaru Racing's Ash Sutton maintain his solid start and add more points to his 2017 campaign.

Round 3 at Thruxton saw Sutton finish races 7, 8 & 9 in 6th, 8th, 6th respectively in his mountune powered 2.0 turbocharged Levorg.  

Qualifying 6th at Round 4, Oulton Park, Sutton climbed the grid in Race 1 to slot into third place after battling with Turkington & Moffat, clinching an impressive podium finish.   Race 2 saw him quick off the start against pole sitter Jordan, taking and holding the lead from lap 2, securing the top step podium this time, and claiming his first win of the season, and this first for the Subaru manufacturer team.   Race 3 saw Sutton finish just outside the podium rankings in 4th place. 

The mountune powered Motorbase Performance team took several top 10 finishes at rounds 3 & 4 this month, seeing an improvement in their 2017 campaign and adding points to the all important standings table.  Oulton Park also saw new addition to this years line-up, Luke Davenport's first visit to the podium as the top scorer of the weekend in the Jack Sears Trophy.

Maximum Motorsport's Josh Cook also saw a top 10 result in the first 2 Races at Oulton Park this month, and started the third race in pole thanks to a reverse grid draw.   Unfortunately a knock in the fourth lap saw Cook suffer suspension issues which put his mountune powered Focus out of the race.

GRC Round 2 - Louisville

This month saw mountune powered Honda Red Bull Olsbergs MSE driver Sebastian Eriksson take the win at round 2 of this years Global RallyX Championship by just .071 seconds, running his mountune / Oldsberg developed 2.0L engine, giving Honda their first win since joining the sport back in 2016. 
 
“It was a great race for us, said Eriksson. “I was up in the lead for a few laps, but then I fell back to fourth, so it was crazy. But it was so much fun! The team has worked so hard for this over the past year and a half, and finally we’ve been able to win a race. It feels great, but we can’t stop working hard and trying to secure more victories this year.”

Team mates Mitchell De Jong and Oliver Eriksson finished 5th and 7th respectively. 

CTCC Round 1 - Zhuhai

May saw the first round of the 2017 Chinese Touring Car Championship kick off in style, with mountune again having four cars on the grid by way of 2016 Manufacturer's Title Champions, Changan Ford Racing Team. 

Rainey He, Andy Yan, Martin Cao, and international wild card driver, UK's Daniel Lloyd all gave a solid start to the eight round series in their mountune powered turbocharged EcoBoost Ford Focus 2.0T hatchbacks, despite the wet conditions.  

All four drivers finished Race 1 in the top 10, followed by Lloyd's thrilling podium finish in Race 2 where he earned the second step. 

With a total 47 points earned over the inaugral weekend, Changan Ford Racing Team currently sit in second position in the Manufacturers’ Championship race and look forward to Round 2 this weekend.

World RallyX Round 3 | 4 | 5 - Germany | Belgium | UK

Germany saw Martin Kaczmarski compete in his second consecutive World RallyX round at the famous Hockenheimring in his mountune powered Ford Fiesta STRX. During the four qualifying sessions, Kaczmarski took 16th, 15th, 14th and 18th overtaking several titles factory team drivers, including Solberg and Hansen but unfortunately did not advance to the semi finals. 

Kaczmarski took 19th place at the fourth round in Belgium this month and once again occupied the top spot of the individual drivers, as he did in the 5th round at Lydden Hill last weekend where he finished 22nd.

Round 5 at the legendary UK circuit also saw mountune powered Oliver O'Donovan & Oliver Bennett line the grid of the 5th 2017 WRX event taking places 20th and 23rd respectively.
